1. Overview
You can request deletion of the personal data Zuvaa holds about you. This page explains what gets deleted, how to request it, and how long it takes.
2. What Data We Hold
See the Privacy Policy for the full list. In summary:
- Account: phone number, display name, timezone, locale.
- Financial records: expenses, budgets, goals, subscriptions, streaks.
- Conversations: WhatsApp messages, assistant replies, memory/embeddings.
- Uploaded media: screenshots and parsed results.
- Logs and technical metadata.
3. How to Request Deletion
Choose one of the following:
Option A — In-app (WhatsApp)
Send the message DELETE MY DATA to the Zuvaa WhatsApp number. You will receive a confirmation prompt; reply CONFIRM to proceed.
Option B — Email
Email privacy@zuvaa.app from the phone number / account on file, with subject line Data Deletion Request. Include:
- Your WhatsApp phone number (with country code).
- A statement confirming you wish to delete your account.
Option C — Post
Write to: VueTales, Inc., Bangalore, Karnataka, India — Attn: Data Deletion. Include the same details as Option B above.
4. What Gets Deleted
On confirmed request, we will delete:
- Your account record and profile data.
- All financial records associated with your account.
- All conversation history and long-term memory.
- Uploaded media (screenshots) and parsed outputs.
- Derived data (embeddings, summaries) tied to your account.
5. What May Be Retained
We may retain a minimal set of data where required:
- Records necessary to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations under Indian law (retention period: up to 7 years).
- Aggregated / de-identified data that cannot reasonably be re-associated with you.
- Backups — purged on the standard backup rotation (within 30 days).
- Security / abuse-related logs (90 days).
6. Timeline
- Acknowledgement: within 3 business days.
- Deletion from live systems: within 30 days of confirmation.
- Full purge including backups: within 90 days.
7. Effects of Deletion
- You will no longer receive coaching replies.
- History cannot be recovered — exports, if desired, must be requested before deletion.
- Re-onboarding later starts a fresh account.
8. Third-Party Data
We will instruct sub-processors (see Privacy Policy) to delete your data per their standard procedures. Meta / WhatsApp message retention on their side is governed by their policies.
